An apple weighs 150 grams on average. Depending on the variety, its skin is green, red, two-toned, or speckled—a veritable kaleidoscope of colors! Its flesh is crisp or mealy, sweet or tart. Of the thousands of apple varieties in existence, nearly one hundred are grown in France, about thirty of which are produced in very large quantities.
